The Key to Success in Network Marketing Online? Specialization

If you have been around the internet for the last several months, you have probably heard a lot about “niches” or “mini niches”. You may even be aware of “niche blogging,” which is taking a popular but narrow topic and monetizing a specialty blog around it.

Some people have taken this to the extreme, setting up dozens of these little hubs. Network marketing is no different. In order to zero in on a target market, and thus succeed in network marketing online, you have to specialize.

There are many areas in which to do this. So many in fact, that it may be difficult to decide on just one or two in the beginning. How do you narrow the field?

First, you must make sure that whatever it is (things like Twitter, bloggings, Squidoo, Facebook, email marketing instantly come to mind), you can be the best in the world. Think about that. Make a list and see what you find out about yourself. It is very eye-opening. But is only the first step.

Second, ask yourself, “What am I the most passionate about?” Again, make a list. Learn from it.

Third, identify the core metric that you will use as the single defining attribute on which to focus. This must be measurable. For instance, if you are thinking about lead generation, conversion is one example of a core metric by which you can track your progress.

Your niche lies at the intersection of these three lists. If you are more of a visual person, you may find it helpful to draw a Venn diagram with three intersecting circles. You may be very surprised to see what emerges.

This is an extremely helpful exercise, by the way, and I highly recommend that you spend some time writing and/or drawing it out for yourself.

In my next post, I will lay out some possible niches and sub-niches for you to consider, in case you are having trouble coming up with some on your own. For now, just let the idea of specializing sink into your mind.

Internet Attraction Marketing for Network Marketers

Internet attraction marketing has become a buzz phrase, especially for network marketers aspiring to use the internet to build their businesses online. The attraction, if you don’t mind the pun, is that with this new model, prospects come to you, eager to hear about your opportunity, instead of you having to chase people down.

But how does one go about this? And most importantly, where to start? In the coming weeks, I will be using this space to share how internet attraction marketing has worked for me.

If you are a network marketer yourself, you will have much to gain. For instance, I will teach you how to monetize in ways that will not interfere with or distract from building your primary company. I will also teach you how to build your own list. Most importantly though, I will be teaching you the attraction marketing model.

Stay tuned!
