Many people were surprised to find out that Mike Dillard was stepping down from Magnetic Sponsoring. After all, he IS Magnetic Sponsoring, right? But the fact it, some things just take on a life of their own, at which point, it may be time to move on.
Of course, I was not surprised by this news. I was actually one of the first people to know that he was going to do that. That is because he told me at a live event. That is one of the big reasons that you want to get yourself to as many of those things as you can. You pick up on things. You hang out with multi-millionaires. You start to think like them, act like them, dress like then, and eventually, make money like them.
There is more to what Mike Dillard is doing. He isn’t just going to disappear. And because I was at the live event, I know what it is and can be a part of it from the very beginning if it fits into what I am already doing. That is another reason that you want to be at the live events.
And I don’t just mean the ones for your primary company. Those are fine, too. The problem with only going to those, though, is that you will not sponsor anyone new into your company that you meet there–they are already part of it or there with someone who is. The biggest reason that you would go is so you can keep up with new developments.
Very recently, I chose to go to the Live the Dream event in Las Vegas at the same time my company was having their live event in Atlanta. While I was learning from some of the best minds in internet marketing, I got a text from my upline leader telling me that we now have deep discounts on appliances and lawn tractors with the benefits package that our company sells. That is information that I have been waiting to hear and it is important. But I was still able to get it even though I wasn’t there.
So pick your events wisely. Get to know industry leaders in and out of your primary company. That way, you will always be in the know. And you know, the more you know, the more you sell. The more you sell, the more you make.
