Check out this video of me explaining what I learned during the mastermind session I had with Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler and the rest of the team at Marketing Merge headquarters back in January. Someday you may find yourself in the “hotseat” too!
What do you get when you add 8 solid hours hashing out your business with internet moguls Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler, along with the biggest names in the Renegade Network Marketing community? I’ll tell you: the mastermind opportunity of a lifetime.
This weekend has meant a lot of things to me. Here I am, on the eve of my 39th birthday, reflecting on the things that are going to make this coming year a phenomenal success. That is, thanks to the feedback of some of the most amazing people I have ever met.
I would like to write more tonight, but I am exhausted. However, I will say that you will be seeing a lot more of me. I am reinventing myself in a way that aligns with my passion. You’ll have to stay tuned. This is going to be big.
I was just reading an article entitled “The Number One New Job Opportunity in Corporate America For The Next 10 Years, ” and I finally found a name to call myself: a social media consultant.
This is pretty exciting for a few reasons.
Number one, people are always asking me, “What do you do?” Now I am not sure that the name social media consultant will give them any more ideas, but at least I have something to put on my business cards.
Number two, it helps me to establish a focus for how to approach new projects. For instance, instead of just sitting down and figuring out ways to optimize a page for the search engines, albeit an important first step, I will go to work immediately on creating a social buzz for my clients. The sooner this is done, the better.
Third, it lends credibility to the activities I do from home in my jammies. Yes, I work in my robe and slippers, okay? That way I can get up early in the morning and not be slowed down by a pesky shower.
Finally, as a trainer and super guide for the Renegade Professional, I can now teach others to be social media consultants on their own. I think that may be the most exciting reason of all.
I just watched some awesome training on how these super affiliates operate. Whether you are building niche sites, working a network marketing business, or trying your hand at straight affiliate marketing, this blog post is for you.
How to become a super affiliate:
1. Choose the right product. Higher priced products pay more. Work with affiliates who hard code your affiliate code into the followup emails, and include upsells, continuity programs, etc.. Do promotions for other affiliates and they will return the favor when it comes time for you to promote your own products.
2. Create a bonus that appeals to the buyer. Bonus items sell products. Make sure you are getting paid enough to make it work. Bonus items usually help the customer consume the product being sold, or offer them a bonus that is related to the product.
3. Set up 3 blogs in every market you enter on different registrars with different hosting companies. Post your bonus offer to each blog (post the actual bonus offer the night before the launch}. Post a teaser item at least 2 days before the launch launch day. This entails going out and promoting your post with incoming links from your blog network, posting it on facebook, twittering it, posting it in forums, etc (incoming links are the key to getting the post itself ranked high.
Videos and Social media pages are the key to having your message show up in the rankings all over the place. So create a video about your promotion and Traffic Geyser the heck out of it.
4. Email Your Bonus Offer Link to Your List. Email your list your teaser bonus after you post it. Then email them a link to your bonus after you post it. Emails are printed on blogs which means that they will be linking to your post, which means more incoming links.
Blogs are viral–email messages are not. Posting the launch information on your blog is always best. Emails have the affiliate link in them and the links to your blogs.
Easy, breezy, short and sweet emails are best. Ten sentences are best. Two sentences per paragraph. Front load the sentences with your power words. Use ellipse points to break up the sentences and emphasize the more important points. Look for an excuse to mail often. Like adding a bonus after the buzz has died down.
5. Mail to your list on launch day. Send out your broadcasts live–don’t schedule it. Stay on top of the promotion. Send out timely emails. The moment the product goes live, send out another email.
That is it! Sound simple? Some things are deceptively so, which ironically is why most people fail. They try to make things more complicated!
Your niche is the area of specialty in which you can:
1. Be the best in the world.
2. Be passionate in your interest and dedication.
3. Identify a specific way to measure your success.
There are an infinite number of niches for internet and network marketers. And of course, every niche has many different sub-niches. The key is to narrow your niche to the point where it is easy to own. You can do this by checking out the competition in any given area and examining under-served areas within it.
If you are a network marketer, finding a niche that is related to your opportunity is an important step to attracting all of the customers you could ever want, so think about this carefully.
Internet marketers, you may want to consider looking into network marketing business opportunities to further monetize a niche you are developing. There are many benefits to building a residual income in this manner that you may have been overlooking.
Here are some possible niches for internet and network marketers:
Health (wellness, weight loss, special diets, nutrition, antioxidants, specific medical conditions, skin care, anti-aging treatments, cellular cleansing and repair, detoxification, intestinal health, exercise and fitness, iridology)
Legal (wills, divorce, auto accidents, traffic tickets, s-corps, protecting your assets, medical malpractice, identity theft protection, frivolous lawsuits)
Travel (vacation planning, popular destinations, cruises, how to shop for airfares, where to go to get the best dal on hotels, what to pack for a cruise, parking guides)
Finance (how to save on your everyday and major purchases, how to save money on insurance, money management, investing for retirement, saving for your child’s college tuition, the best mutual funds)
Entertainment (movie reviews, gossip, video games, fun things to do in your city)
Fashion (cheap runway copycats, oscar red carpet reviews, New York designers, Paris fashion moguls)
Education (homeschooling, how-to guides, why schools fail, top colleges and universities, top 100 books everyone should read)
I could go on and on. You can come up with many more in one brainstorming session, although it may take some time to research all of them. Or, you can play the video below to see how you can get a list of the Top 50 Niches for Internet and Network Marketers. Normally you would have to purchase this report, but I am giving it away for free:
Once you identify your niche, the next step is to build a web of content. I’ll go into that more in my next post
A few weeks ago, the unthinkable happened. My laptop, as often happens because of design issues, was getting really hot and the fans were working overtime. Then one day, it started to shut down and start up for no apparent reason.
After several futile calls to tech support, I determined on my own that the laptop was overheating. I purchased a fan pad for it, but it was too late. The damage to the hard drive was done. I did manage to get my husband’s critical files off of it before it totally crashed.
However, all of the PLR products were gone. As were the back up, working, and help files for my clients.
As I assessed the carnage, though, several lessons emerged that were worth sharing.
1. Back-up often. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me that the end was near. All of the months that the computer ran hot were my warning signs, and I ignored every one. But the longer nothing happened under those conditions, the more I was lulled into a false sense of security. Big mistake.
2. Most things stored on a computer are replaceable. (The exception to that is of course digital pictures that have been uploaded directly from a camera). Software can be downloaded from its licensed sources again, and lost features and upgrades can be restored with the click of a button.
3. Not to procrastinate finishing projects. If I had done what I was supposed to with half of the things I lost on that machine, they would be hosted content on the web somewhere right now. But because I sat on them, they are lost.
4. Focus. Instead of spending time recreating everything, I have been given the unique opportunity to decide what is the most important. This has produced more focus than I have had in months.
So as far as I am concerned, having a hard drive crash wasn’t the total catastrophe that I originally thought.
It is amazing how something like that can give you perspective when you need it the most.
Something that is really taking off lately is the website marketing and consulting side of my business. In fact, the list of clients I have been able to help is growing on a weekly basis (not too fast–yet). The thing I have been able to help them with the most is coordinating their social media properties so that their content is set to viral. Not many people know how to do this, apparently, but luckily I do. In fact, I just acquired a lost of 15 Googlicious Web 2.0 properties that not many people are using, or even know about for that matter.
It is a great feeling to be able to provide so much value to others as I continue to build a market share.
One of the things I am doing to create a web of content for my team is publishing content on satellite sites. Moms Making Money is the newest addition to that content.
Published on HubPages, Moms Making Money represents lessons that I have learned being a stay-at-home mom while building my home based business (which looks a lot different than when I began).
So why would I share my experiences about being a stay-at-home-mom building a business? Because it is through our own stories that we attract people just like us, who want the same things out of life that we do, and who may want to join with us.
Brought you by the Income From Home Network, this pilot show is for moms wanting to find out more about how they can contribute to the family’s finances without stepping their foot out of their front door.
